By providing inclusive tools, resources, and education for end-of-life planning, we help people make informed choices, reduce emotional and financial burdens, and foster open conversations around grief, legacy, and care. Our mission is to transform how people prepare for and experience the end of life, making it a process grounded in dignity, connection, and peace of mind.
Catherine Eng - CEO
Catherine Eng is a certified Death Doula and began her interest in End of Life Planning after the death of her Father. She previously worked as a Casting Director, producer, creative consultant, and currently serves as an appointed official for the City of West Hollywood.
Catherine’s work in the entertainment and media industries, coupled with her experience as a Commissioner for the City of West Hollywood, gives her a well-rounded perspective on community, business, and creative leadership. She is also a dog mom, certified reiki practitioner and a passionate advocate for both animal welfare and physical and mental health, using her platform to raise awareness and support important causes.
Catherine is committed to reshaping how society perceives and deals with death, recognizing that planning for the end of life should not be a taboo subject. As CEO of After This, she is focused on creating resources, tools, and community support systems that allow individuals and families to approach this difficult subject with confidence, ease, and grace.
Justina Walford - COO
Justina Walford brings a deeply personal connection to this mission, having lost her father, mother, and birth mother within a four-year span. This profound experience, combined with her entrepreneurial background in founding organizations like the Women Texas Film Festival and Split.Id Stages, fuels her passion for transforming how we approach death and legacy. Walford’s expertise in building impactful communities and businesses ensures After This is both compassionate and innovative. Her memoir OVERFLOW about grief and caregiving will be out in 2026.
